Ah, the new Danger Mouse project—i’ve been wanting to check them out for awhile now, thank you for reminding me Elizabeth! Purchasing now….
I was considering including Danger Mouse/Sparklehorse’s Dark Night of the Soul, but figured that technically counts as a 2009 release. Beautiful album though.

The High Road is like my 2010 theme song…For me it speaks to the loneliness of the authentic path–finding souls who express the will to break away from the sheep walk trance of post modernity. The tunes have a haunting way about them. “It’s too late to change your mind; you let loss be your guide.” |repeat| Check out their video if you get sec. It is pretty profound.
