Da, I agree with your insight. And the question from Bob Martin is an indication that what Corey is doing with what he has learned is clarifying and giving more heart to the mind of wisdom he so clearly writes about.

In my opinion, it is imperative that we have engage in a dialog about integral politics. If anyone reading this knows of other places where there are discussions about this, please let me know because I am not seeing anything from Integral Naked, etc.

As a "green" working towards 2nd tier, it is easy for me to get sucked into flatland politics and it would be helpful to get feedback.

Thank you,
Bob

Corey,

"Everyone knows about the difference between ... Liberal and Conservative. But ... no one has been able to give a theoretical explanation of what drives this split in a way that holds up to careful inspection—..."

Rand explains in "Philosophy: Who Needs It", excerpted here:

http://aynrandlexicon.com/lexicon/conservatives_vs_liberals.html

Rand also provides the integration you seek, the trans-partisan politics. Her radical capitalism integrates the liberties of the right with the liberties of the left, discarding the tyrannies of both. Furthermore she backs it up with reasons and proofs only available to those who do not traffic in the false dichotomy that is the source of the problem you have named.

Well stated. Have you read Mark Levin's "Liberty & Tyranny?" It is as close to a treatise on Integral Conservatism as I have encountered. I highly recommend it.

One of its themes is that in spite of the impressions many of our generation hold, the ideals of the political left are not mutually exclusive to the implementation of conservative philosophy. The book also makes the important distinction between the political class of the left ("Statists"), who threaten liberty directly and the Body Politic of the left ("Liberals"), who for the most part are well-intentioned folks whose center of gravity is around the "green" developmental stage.

Levin is also highly critical of what he calls the "neo-statists" on the right. He writes predominantly about philosophy, not party lines.

I do not know if Levin has read Wilber, but it sure smells like it.

Keep up the good work!

Thanks
